On-Campus Mental Health Resources
Below we provided a list of existing on-campus mental health resources offered for University of Oregon students, staff, faculty members, and parents. These include resources provided by UO Health Services, the Duck Nest, or student-run organizations that strive to make campus life a more connected, resilient, and supportive space to thrive.
Each of these resources provides a safe and loving environment that prioritizes those in need of mental health support. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you or a friend need help!

Individual & Group Therapy
The UHS offers therapy in multiple settings, individual and group therapy sessions are the main ones. Students can schedule individual therapy sessions if they want ongoing counseling, or can use Let’s Talk, a free, informal, on-the-spot session with a counselor.
Group Therapy can be especially beneficial for growth, perspective, and encouragement, where 5-10 individuals can be vulnerable and support each other with 1-2 therapists.

Substance Use

UO offers year-round reoccurring events and workshops tailored to aid students and staff in mental health support, knowledge, and Wellness Campaigns. PE & Rec Well-Being Coaching Program
Want to be certified in becoming a peer wellness coach? The PE & Rec department offers a program for students to learn how to become peer coaches and guides in connecting other students to wellness resources. Learn more about this opportunity below.
The Duck Nest Wellness Center

What & Where is the Duck Nest?
The Duck Nest is a branch of UO’s Mental Health Services that offers a wide range of assistance in cultivating individual and community well-being. They are located at Erb Memorial Union, Room 041, or you can contact them at (541) 346-0570.

Peers Helping Peers
The Duck Nest provides an opportunity for UO students to become change agents among their communities through a Peer Wellness Facilitator program. Peer Wellness Facilitators offer a comforting space and a sense of belonging for anyone in need of support. Students can feel confidently vulnerable sharing troubles with fellow students who are often enduring similar challenges. Grocery Shuttle
The Grocery Shuttle is free transportation sponsored by the Duck Nest and offered to students, staff, and faculty to increase accessibility to food needs. The shuttle runs every Tuesday and Sunday at 4 p.m. to affordable grocery store locations farther off-campus. Click below to find out more or reserve a spot!

Extra Events
The Duck Nest hosts a variety of events and workshops throughout the year to aid students, faculty, and staff. They have an events calendar on their main site, offering everything from one-on-one social connections, cooking classes, and food security resources, to sexual health and financial resources or a simple space to de-stress and relax.

Positive Psychology Club
The Positive Psychology Club is a space for students to create an open environment for everyone to learn and discuss different science-backed aspects of what makes people happier. The UO OP is a premier common adventure program available to all students, staff, faculty, and the general public. It is a UO-funded organization offering trips, classes, events, outdoor gear rentals, bike loans, and more!
