Philosophy

We believe that substantive progress in mental well-being can be achieved through bringing together theoretical, scientific, and practical knowledge across diverse resources. The primary aim of the Center for the Science and Practice of Well-being is to provide the opportunity for cross-fertilization of ideas, data, and practices between different stakeholders and to enhance the well-being of our local, regional, and global communities.

Why Now?

Mental well-being has been declining, despite significant gains in material wealth, for several decades. The recent pandemic highlighted the severity of this issue, demonstrating that we are currently in a mental health crisis, especially among younger people. We believe that the time to act upon this crisis is now - to put our heads together to build a more resilient, mindful, and engaged community that will not only survive but flourish.
